SKL 1904 Classic White

The SKL 1904 Classic White is a square Seiko Mod watch in its original definition. Silver-white dial, radiating Roman numerals, square case with exposed screws. This silhouette was born in 1904 on the wrist of a pioneering aviator. This makes it the oldest wristwatch design still worn. The exposed screws of the case and bracelet assume the mechanics like a steel bridge assumes its rivets. A century later, nothing has changed: it's still elegance at right angles.

The square with exposed screws

The softened square case has eight exposed screws on its bezel, echoing the screws of the links. The construction is the decoration. The silver-white dial displays its radiating Roman numerals around blued hands, with a discreet date. 316L steel, 38 mm in diameter and 12 mm thick, sapphire crystal, transparent case back revealing the movement. The consistency of the design, from the clasp to the crown, is what makes icons last. Flame-blued hands are the vintage detail that the discerning eye looks for first. They are there, gliding over the white like ink feathers.

The automatic Seiko NH35 caliber

This Seiko Mod features a genuine NH35 movement manufactured in Japan by Seiko Instruments. Automatic, 24 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, 41 hours power reserve. Winding by wearing or by the crown, hacking seconds for setting. Accuracy of -20 to +40 seconds per day, the standard for this caliber.
