SKL Mariner Blue Dial

The SKL Mariner Blue Dial is a diving Seiko Mod watch. It literally carries the sea on its dial. A wave pattern is engraved into the blue. A regular swell that undulates in the light with every movement of the wrist. The graduated blue bezel, luminescent applied indices, and skeleton hands complete the array of deep-sea divers. This is the other great school of diving watches, more sculpted, more maritime, and its blue is that of the open sea.

A blue dial engraved with waves

The waves are engraved into the material of the dial, not printed. Light glides over them like over a swell. The applied indices and the date at three o'clock float above the pattern.
